PhysioTel® Multiplus Transmitters


     
 Data Sciences International designed this extensive series of fully implantable transmitters to allow for simultaneous monitoring of several physiological variables such as pressure, multiple biopotentials (e.g. ECG, EEG, EMG), temperature and animal movement with one single implant.
       The implants range in size to accomodate studies in animals varying in size from rats to dogs and large nonhuman primates. Three different packages are available. The
smaller packages (F50 and C50) can be implanted intraperitoneally in rats, or subcutaneously in slightly larger animals. The largest package (D70) is usually implanted subcutaneously in dogs and monkeys.

      There are too many different MultiplusTM implants to describe each one of them individually in these pages. Therefore we present their most salient features in the following Table.
